MegaWave is an industry leader in the design and development of body worn antennas. We have designed wearable antennas for frequencies from 30MHz to 3GHz. Host platforms include: civilian garments such as jackets; tactical vests; body armor vests such as SPEAR, Interceptor, Future Force Warrior and Land Warrior. We can integrate antennas into most garment types and other fabric-based items. Using our existing database of designs, we are able to quickly develop and customize a body worn antenna for a specific application.
MegaWave has designed, fabricated and delivered airborne, vehicular, UAV and body worn Direction Finding antennas for a number of customers. These antennas are typically designed and built to a customer’s individual requirements and to match the customer’s specific DF algorithms, in terms of the number of elements, element layout and frequency bands. MegaWave has a number of proprietary wideband elements operating in the VHF and UHF bands that can be customized for a specific application.
Examples of special MegaWave projects include the antennas we are currently developing to support the Navy’s new Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) satellite system. These antennas are being developed under contract to SPAWAR through sponsorship of the JPEO-JTRS.

Under contract to special government and other customers, we have designed and delivered antennas for many unique applications. These have included disguised and covert antennas, antennas for Unattended Ground Sensors, inflatable, and unique deployable antennas. MegaWave has developed a number of wideband and multiband vehicular antennas operating in the VHF and UHF bands. We have an agreement in place with a leading manufacturer of military antennas to produce these antennas. Existing designs for multi-band or dual band operation can be customized for your requirements.
MegaWave has developed and delivered portable HF/VHF/UHF groundwave path loss and received power measuring sets for near-earth, on-surface and buried antennas. We have also developed an innovative fast-running groundwave computer code for inhomogeneous and irregular terrain with and without obstructions such as trees, buildings and snow. Other programs have included an investigation of textile-based antennas and transmission lines, and fragmented antennas.
